Job Description

Position Summary/Department Summary:
Boston Children's Hospital's acclaimed Social Work Emergency Psychiatry Services (EPS) team responds to social needs and issues in the Emergency Department and throughout inpatient services. We are seeking a full-time clinical coordinator social worker to join our EPS team!
Key Responsibilities:
Supervisory oversight of a number of EPS social workers in the ED in consultation with the social work manager. In collaboration with the social work manager, this position will participate in programmatic development and will support the implementation of program initiatives within the assigned service area. Serves as a primary liaison with the multidisciplinary team regarding clinical concerns or case practice decisions and will escalate quality assurance issues, and thematic trends to leadership as needed. Provides direct clinical care and coordination of services for assigned patients. Coordinates patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Monitors patient progress and adjusts care plans as appropriate. Manages assigned caseload and ensures timely service delivery. Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and community resources. Conducts psychosocial assessments and implements established interventions. Identifies patient needs and facilitates appropriate referrals and services. Participates in interdisciplinary meetings and contributes to care planning. Supports implementation of program initiatives within assigned service are Provides feedback on program processes and patient care outcome Participate in departmental meetings and case conferences Serves as a clinical resource within scope of role. Manages individual workflow and prioritizes individual responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications Education:
A master's degree in social work
Experience:
Minimum of two years of social work experience required. Several years of medical social work leadership experience highly preferred Strong clinical skills and experience with various therapeutic modalities. Cultural sensitivity and comfort with a wide range of racial and ethnic populations. Bicultural/Bilingual competency is a plus. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment (sense of humor is valued!).
Licensure/Certification:
LICSW in the state of MA required This position is 100% onsite and new hires are eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonus
