Position requires the ability to manage complex and competing demands in the office and in the community on a daily basis. The Clinical Director will provide quality care for youth in need of stabilization and therapeutic services.
Typical job responsibilities:
Leads and works in conjunction with the IHB Team with intakes, orientation, developing and implementing the treatment plan and safety plan, and service delivery of the Family Team. Provides coaching and guidance on role development and clinical interventions of IHB staff. Assist in training and ensuring IHB staff team is following the Core Elements of the IHB Treatment Practice Profile. Assist with developing and implementing creative solutions for youth to overcome barriers to success through role-play, skill building and communication strategies. Communicate with youth and families on assigned caseload daily through home visits, phone, and emails in order to best meet their needs/goals. Leads family team meetings, and attends other treatment review meetings as needed. Maintain all case records in a confidential and secure manner. Attends IHB staff meetings weekly, and facilitates these meetings in absence of the Director. Works closely with the Family Partner, DMH, and other collaterals to support the family. • Facilitates and supports all assessments through goal setting around safety, skill development, strengths, needs, and identifying connections. Maintains professional boundaries at all times. Attends and actively participates in weekly individual/group supervision to review families' progress, identify risk factors, improve communication and work on professional growth. Completes daily progress notes, treatment goals and other required documentation, including data entry, in a timely manner, adhering to the highest professional standards. Assists with and helps coordinate needs for crisis response and respite needs. Works a flexible schedule with on call responsibility. •Provide leadership, oversight and supervision to clinical staff, including clinicians, outreach workers and interns. Develop and implement critical protocols, procedures, and treatment guidelines. Supervise and evaluate clinical staff performance, offering training and professional development. Ensure proper documentation and timely completion of client record in compliance with rehab standards. Participate in hiring, onboarding and retention of clinical personnel. In collaboration with Program Director, review crisis intervention strategies and oversee complex case consultations. Represent the organization in community partnerships, stakeholder meetings and professional associates. Maintain a small caseload as needed.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Master's Degree in the Human Services Field (Masters in Social Work preferred) and clinical license required, with three years of experience working with the target population. Excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational and interpersonal skills Demonstrate cultural humility with an ability to work with diverse populations, within the community and with agency staff members. Possess basic computer skills for purposes of word processing and data entry. Flexibility and ability to respond to families under stress, and in crisis, in a fast-paced work environment. Possess a current and valid driver's license and automobile - must be able to drive daily to transport youth and attend meetings and home visits. Must be able to walk, sit and stand during the work day Must be able to assist with infrequent restraints of juveniles of up to 200 lbs.Job Type:
