Essential Responsibilities Oversee end-to end medical billing operations Review physician documentation and assign diagnoses and procedures using current ICD-10 and CPT coding to ensure all codes are appropriate for optimal reimbursement Assist with denials related to coding issues, as necessary Communicate with physicians regarding documentation needed in reports Maintain coding certification Perform related work as required and/or assigned Supervise billing, coders and eligibility team Provide training Assign and assist with workflow Collaborate with front desk, clinical staff and providers. Coordinate with insurances and Required Education, Experience and Skills High School Diploma or equivalent and Minimum 3 year of Ophthalmology billing/coding experience Medical coder certification Excellent oral and written skills Ability to plan, organize and prioritize job duties under general supervision Capable of working under time constraints Time Management skills to meet client productivity goals Highly motivated, independent and innovative
