From $55,000 annual salary + up to 10% annual performance bonus with 100% health benefits paid by employer About the Role Garden Gables — part of the Sullivan Capital hospitality collection alongside The Coach House in Salem and The Highliner in Gloucester — is seeking a hands-on Property Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and guest experience at our newly reimagined Lenox property. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading by example and balancing operational oversight with direct property support. The Property Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining property standards, coordinating housekeeping and maintenance efforts, and serving as the primary on-site leader from Thursday through Monday. This is a salaried hospitality leadership position based on a typical 45-50 hour workweek . Due to the nature of boutique hospitality operations, the Property Operations Manager will also serve as the designated on-call manager during scheduled coverage periods, responding to guest, maintenance, or property emergencies as needed. What You'll Do Oversee all day-to-day property operations, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and smooth execution of all services. Manage guest arrivals, departures, communications, and issue resolution. Coordinate and supervise housekeeping schedules, room readiness, inspections, and inventory management. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hospitality throughout the property. Monitor and coordinate maintenance projects, vendor relationships, and preventative maintenance programs. Utilize operational systems including remote access control, Mews, Breezeway, Stripe, and internal management applications. Collaborate with ownership and leadership on operational reporting, budgeting, staffing, and process improvements. Ensure seamless communication and operational continuity between departments, contractors, and service providers. Provide leadership during weekends, holidays, and peak occupancy periods. Respond to operational, maintenance, and guest-related emergencies during designated on-call periods. Hands-On Responsibilities This is an active management role. Approximately 50% of the position involves hands-on operational support , including: Assisting with housekeeping and laundry operations as needed. Supporting common area cleaning and overall property presentation. Performing guest room turnovers when occupancy demands require or when housekeeping coverage is limited. Assisting with inventory organization, supply management, and operational projects. Helping maintain exterior spaces, seasonal readiness, and guest-facing amenities. Jumping in wherever needed to ensure guests receive an exceptional experience and the property consistently meets brand standards. What We're Looking For Previous experience in hospitality operations, hotel management, boutique lodging, property management, luxury guest services, or a related field. Strong leadership skills with a willingness to work alongside the team and lead by example. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence. Comfortable working independently and making operational decisions. Experience with property management systems and hospitality technology preferred. Proficiency with platforms such as Mews, Breezeway, remote access control systems, Stripe, and similar hospitality technologies is a plus. Must reside within the Berkshires region or within a reasonable commuting distance of Lenox, MA. Comfortable working a flexible hospitality schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional after-hours emergency response when serving as the designated on-call manager. Ability to effectively manage responsibilities within a typical 45-50 hour workweek while maintaining exceptional service standards.
