Job Description
Position Overview The Bay Club is seeking a hospitality-driven Seasonal Pool & Bar Assistant Manager to oversee operations at our pool complex and Salty's Poolside Bar & Grille. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional member experience in and around the pool while managing the food & beverage component of our vibrant summer destination. This position also plays a key role in coordinating and executing events within the Sports & Activities Center, including poolside programming, private events, and outdoor functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional seeking summer leadership experience, with the potential for continued employment beyond the season. Key Responsibilities Member Experience Serve as a visible, engaged leader ensuring an outstanding member experience at the pool and Salty's Bar & Grille Build strong relationships with members and anticipate needs Address feedback promptly and professionally Food & Beverage Operations (Salty's Poolside Bar & Grille) Oversee daily operations including service, cleanliness, safety, and staff performance Ensure timely, high-quality food and beverage service Partner with culinary and F&B leadership to uphold standards and drive revenue Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and service flow Event Planning & Execution Assist with planning and executing events within the Sports & Activities Center, including: Poolside events and themed programming Birthday parties and family events Graduation celebrations Lawn and outdoor social events Coordinate logistics, staffing, and service to ensure seamless execution Team Leadership Supervise and support seasonal team members (bar, service, and poolside staff) Train staff on service standards and member engagement expectations Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture Operations & Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment across pool and F&B areas Partner with Aquatics and Facilities teams to ensure compliance and safety Monitor inventory, supplies, and operational readiness Qualifications Experience in hospitality, food & beverage, or club/resort operations preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Passion for delivering exceptional member experiences Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, outdoor environment Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evening/night shifts is required
