August 24, 2026 (plus 2 mentoring days prior to start date, 8/19-8/20)
Qualifications:
  • Licensed by DESE as School Social Worker/Adjustment Counselor, required
  • Licensed by DESE as School Psychologist, preferred
  • Sheltered English Immersion endorsement required
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Mass. Special Education regulations
  • Ability to utilize various computer software programs - student database (X2), MS Office, Google Apps, etc.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and ability to function as part of a team.
  • Experienced writing IEP goals and objectives
  • Experienced as an IEP team member
  • CPI training and certification preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of teachers and teacher assistants in a specialized classroom (the Bridges Classroom Bryt Clinical Model) providing short-term and long-term supports for students returning from extended absences and for students with social-emotional disabilities
  • Collaborate with administrators, faculty members, families, and community providers to coordinate clinical, academic, and family interventions
  • Provide individual and/or group counseling to students on a daily basis
  • Intervene during crisis situations and make appropriate referrals
  • Administer standardized cognitive and achievement assessments
  • Collect and analyze data, and develop data collection and analysis protocols, to measure student progress and program performance
  • Participate in Special Education team meetings, 504 team meetings, pre-referral meetings, guidance meetings and other meetings related to student case-management and program development, as needed
  • Attend department meetings, faculty meetings, and community meetings
