Interim Director of Surgical Suites
JOB DETAILS
Interim Director of Surgical Suites Needed in Springfield, Massachusetts! The Position An Interim Director of Surgical Suites is needed to provide strategic and operational leadership for a busy surgical services department with thirty-six operating rooms across multiple locations. Reporting to the Vice President of Perioperative Services, this leader will oversee five direct reports and approximately three hundred FTEs. Key responsibilities include mentoring the leadership team and newly hired managers, leading Joint Commission survey preparation and providing onsite support during the survey process, managing staffing productivity and departmental hours, and ensuring efficient daily operations across the surgical services department. The ideal candidate will have extensive perioperative leadership experience in a complex acute care environment with a strong clinical background. Experience leading Joint Commission readiness efforts, improving surgical operations, and advancing patient safety initiatives is highly preferred. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical. Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance. Requirements BSN required; Master's degree preferred. Active RN license required. Must have progressive perioperative leadership experience in an acute care setting with demonstrated success overseeing surgical services, mentoring leaders, supporting regulatory readiness, and collaborating with physicians. Pay Details Pay Range:
$185,000 - $200,000 annually. The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
