Job Summary:
As the office coordinator support, you will be crucial in delivering exceptional customer service throughout the patient's physical therapy journey. As one of the primary points of contact, you will ensure a seamless front-office experience throughout the plan of care, significantly impacting the overall patient experience. Your responsibilities will include scheduling, new patient onboarding, insurance verification, and maintaining communication between patients and healthcare providers.Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent customer service skills
Job Responsibilities:
Providers:
- Collaborate with clinicians to facilitate patient scheduling and rescheduling.
- Communicate patient scheduling changes and authorization needs to clinicians.
Patients:
- Manage authorizations and track compliance with insurance requirements.
- Monitor and manage insurance claims, denials, and discrepancies.
- Handle patient scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling efficiently.
- Serve as the initial point of contact, setting a positive tone for patient interactions.
- Ensure accurate patient registration, documentation, and insurance verification.
- Collect and process payments and manage patient balances.
Referrals:
- Communicate effectively with referral sources, providing timely updates and handling requests promptly.
- Efficiently and accurately complete medical record requests.
