Job Description
Overview Salary $88,000-$92,000 The Clinical Director of BSAS Services is responsible for the successful administration and management of the clinical services of the Department of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Addiction Services funded residential services and programs assigned. They provide clinical and administrative supervision to all employees who work in the residential services and assigned programs. They oversee all clinical services for the
DPH/BSAS
funded programs, group facilitation, intake management and billing management. Minimum Education Required Master's Degree Shift First Shift Responsibilities Organize staff and staffing functions in accordance with Department of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Addiction Services Contract. Maintain up-to-date program policies and procedures, ensuring the program complies with BSAS and DPH expectations. Manage and streamline administrative processes and requirements in consultation with affiliated senior managers or designees including but not limited to Fiscal Services, Human Resources, Information Services and Maintenance functions. Ensure clinical, evidenced based services are provided within the program Supervise the Residential Program Director and Case Managers Facilitate clinical team meetings. Lead/co-lead program and staff meetings for the purpose of education, skill growth, program planning, evaluating resident care, and improving program functioning. Network with community providers, both internally and externally, to maximize intakes, maintain a full program census, and ensure effective service delivery. Responsible for fiscal management to ensure that the behavioral health services meet expectations. Responsible for maintaining a full program census. Responsible for insurance and DPH billing entries and resolution. Provide on-site management of clinical and administrative operations of individual programs as assigned. Attend and actively participate in all trainings assigned; maintain necessary licensures and certifications. Ensure that staff receives appropriate certifications and training to perform duties adequately. Participate in the on-call rotation through 24-hour availability for consultation and emergency crisis intervention. Ensure that regular performance evaluations are conducted for all employees in programs as assigned. Ensure that the clinical integrity of client programs and services are maintained. Maintain constructive and productive internal and external communications with staff, managers, providers, vendors, and funding sources. Ensure health and safety of clients and staff through compliance with agency policies, OSHA and other safety standards. Ensure all paperwork, reports, trainings are up-to-date and completed within the expected timelines. Perform physical intervention in the event of a client crisis. Attends and actively participates in supervision and staff meetings. Qualifications Masters degree in related field and a current Independent License in the following disciplines plus 5 years supervisory experience: LICSW, LMHC, Rehab Counselor, LADC1. Strongly prefer candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations and addiction. Knowledge of and ability to implement allDPH/BSAS
regulation Working knowledge of Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial Insurance, and community resources. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have sensitivity to the needs of the population. Proficiency with MS Office Suite. High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere. Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities. Ability to execute a variety of decision-making models. Ability to communicate effectively in writing, and ability to use good judgment. Ability to read English and communicate effectively in the primary language of the programs as assigned. Must hold a valid drivers' license. Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport persons served.
