In this vital role, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional patient service. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive environment where patients feel cared for from the moment they walk through the door. You will manage appointment scheduling, insurance verification, medical records, and administrative support, all while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of a new dental office, supporting both clinical staff and patients with professionalism and enthusiasm. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Open Dental Schedule appointments accurately utilizing dental office management software and coordinate patient flow efficiently Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance claims processing. Manage patient records meticulously, ensuring proper documentation review for accuracy and completeness in compliance with HIPAA standards Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, answer inquiries promptly, and direct calls appropriately Collect payments, process collections, and perform billing tasks related to dental procedures using CDT coding Maintain organized filing systems for medical records, dental charts, and administrative documents while ensuring confidentiality Support clinic operations by assisting with intake procedures, scheduling,updating care plans, and managing appointment reminders Requirements Proven experience in a dental office support role with strong knowledge of dental terminology and dental billing practices Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open dental. Knowledge of insurance verification processes including PPO, Medicare and Medicaid guidelines Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security Experience with dental coding Excellent customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing proficiency (10 key typing) Previous dental office experience is required ; familiarity with dental terminology and office management software such as Open dental is highly valued Join us as a Dental Front Desk Specialist where your enthusiasm fuels our team's success!
