Job Description

Annapolis Plastic Surgery, a division of Chesapeake Specialty Care, is looking for a friendly, caring, and highly organized Surgical Coordinator to join our busy Plastic Surgery Office.
Responsibilities:
Meet with patients in office as well as speak with over the phone to schedule cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures in coordination with surgeons, surgery center and hospital Communicate surgery dates, times, locations, and pre-operative instructions to patients clearly and professionally Coordinate pre-operative and post-operative appointments, including medical clearance visits and follow-up care Discuss with patient payment of surgery costs for cosmetic procedures, or procedures not covered by insurance Facilitate patient questions or concerns regarding scheduling, preparation and required pre-operative testing Collaborate with clinical staff, providers and external facilities Manage surgery cancellations, reschedules, and last-minute schedule changes Ensure compliance with HIPPA and all applicable office regulations
Requirements:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with patients, staff and providers 1 year of medical or plastic surgery office experience preferred Knowledge of basic office equipment and computer application Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
Schedule:
Full-time Monday - Friday (8:00 am - 4:30 pm)
