We are looking for an individual who desires to make a difference in patient care with a breakthrough medical device for the treatment of depression. Health care experience is preferred but not required. The most important skill is communicating with patients and making them feel comfortable and safe. Strong attention to detail is required and the ability to follow a daily treatment checklist. This individual needs to be able to respond effectively in an emergency situation for patient care, possess strong listening and communication skills, be attentive to detail, and have the willingness to learn the use of a medical technology.
Responsibilities include:
Greets, checks-in and checks-out patients Handles new and existing patient inquiries Follows TMS and Spravato protocols and performs TMSand Spravato procedure Writes TMS and Spravato treatment notes Ensures patient Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and correspondence are accurate and up-to-date in the EMR system and makes updates as needed and appropriate Verifies insurance benefits and obtains prior authorization for TMS Collects and posts patient payments Submits claims for billing and liaisons with insurance company. Answers phone calls and emails relaying information and requests accurately and delivering messages as needed Schedules, reschedules and cancels patient appointments Completes client related task assigned by physician Provides support to their assigned doctor and assists other staff as needed Serves as Receptionist when needed Respects patient confidentiality with a thorough understanding of the HIPAA laws
Qualifications and Requirements:
High School Diploma and/ or GED required; Completed college coursework, Medical Assistant Certificate or Associate's Degree preferred A minimum of 1 year professional experience in a clinic or medical practice preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of general clinic or medical practice processes Explain and administer procedures to patients Basic/Intermediate computer skills with a willingness to learn our intake and patient care systems Strong verbal/written communication and listening skills; including excellent impersonal skills and telephone communication Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to identify and resolve problems Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks in order to complete assignments within the time allotted and maintain standard workflow Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and coworkers Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and protected patient information Ability to work effectively as a team player and provide superior customer service to all staff and leadership
