Job Description

Clinic Director - The Jack E. Barr Center for Well Being at San Mar We are hiring a Clinic Director to lead our growing mental health practice in Boonsboro, located in Washington County, Maryland. This is a fully in-person senior leadership role, available due to an internal promotion as our current Clinic Director transitions into a full-time Deputy Executive Director position. This opportunity is ideal for a clinically experienced, business-minded leader who is passionate about driving growth, supporting clinicians, and ensuring strong operational performance. The primary focus of the role will be on recruitment, staffing, billing oversight, and maintaining a part-time therapy caseload alongside leadership responsibilities. The Clinic Director will oversee the day-to-day operations of the therapy center, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with healthcare standards. This individual will provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to therapists, while fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.

A major focus of the role is recruitment, staffing, and growth. The Clinic Director will be responsible for building and maintaining a full team of therapists, ensuring strong staff retention, and keeping the center operating at capacity with a consistent client caseload. This includes supporting outreach efforts, developing referral relationships, and actively monitoring scheduling and productivity. In addition, the role requires a strong business and operational mindset. The Clinic Director will oversee billing processes, revenue cycle operations, and insurance workflows, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and financial performance. The position involves tracking key metrics such as utilization, staffing levels, and revenue, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and overall center performance. Requirements Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling or related field; licensure required (LCSW-C, LCPC, or equivalent). Extensive experience in outpatient mental health settings with a focus on behavioral health services. Proven leadership skills managing multidisciplinary teams within a clinical environment. Knowledge of CPT coding practices, and medical documentation standards. Expertise in evidence-based therapies including CBT, behavioral management techniques, crisis intervention strategies, and working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive patient information. Ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessment The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to balance clinical oversight with business operations, including staffing, scheduling, and billing processes. Strong organizational skills, leadership ability, and a results-driven mindset are essential for success in this role. Benefits & Compensation This position offers a starting salary range of $80,000-$85,000 annually along with a comprehensive benefits package.
