Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic Dental team as a Patient Care Coordinator/Front Desk specialist, where your energetic and compassionate approach will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. This vital role combines administrative excellence with patient-centered service, ensuring smooth clinic operations and a welcoming environment. You will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, verifying insurance, and supporting clinical staff with essential documentation. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will help foster a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly and efficient front desk experience Schedule appointments accurately using Open Dental software. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance authorizations. Manage patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality Assist with intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and updating patient information in Open Dental. Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and handling inquiries promptly Support clinical staff by reviewing documentation, processing referrals, and coordinating care plans Requirements Proven experience in dental Familiarity with Open Dental. Ability to perform insurance verification and complete a dental breakdown Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Demonstrated customer service skills with a professional demeanor and strong phone etiquette Experience with dental terminology Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and health information management practices Strong organizational skills for filing, documentation review, and office management tasks Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care through efficient administrative support.
