JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Supervisor, under the leadership of the department manager, is responsible for supporting the operational and clinical performance of their assigned service line. The Clinical Supervisor supports a practice environment that embodies the values of patient care and implements a patient and nursing care delivery system that prioritizes the patient's well-being. Maintains 24/7 accountability ensuring seamless operations and safe patient care. The Clinical Supervisor exemplifies and embodies the CalvertHealth Medical Center mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with CalvertHealth Medical Center policies and procedures.
Education:
Assosicate's degree in nursing required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Will consider years of experience if presently pursuing completion of Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
Unrestricted RN license, valid in the State of Maryland Achieve professional certification within six (6) months of eligibility
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years Medical Surgical experience. Charge Nurse experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements. CPR required within 30 days of hire.
PALS/ACLS
required within 6 months of hire. PCN certifications required within 18 months of hire.
