Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Executive Director to lead our Private Practice Medical Group. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in healthcare management, medical office operations, and practice leadership. As the Executive Director, you will oversee all administrative, financial, and clinical functions of the practice, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceptional patient care. Your leadership will foster a collaborative environment that promotes growth, efficiency, and high-quality healthcare delivery. Duties Provide strategic direction and leadership to the medical group, aligning operational goals with organizational mission and vision. Oversee fiscal management, including budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure financial sustainability and growth. Supervise medical office staff, including human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development. Manage clinic operations utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms to optimize workflow efficiency. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA privacy standards, JCAHO accreditation requirements, and managed care policies. Oversee medical records management and maintain accuracy in documentation using EMR systems like Medisoft or Dentrix. Develop and implement policies for medical management, utilization management, and quality assurance to enhance patient safety and care standards. Coordinate with clinical leaders to improve service delivery in acute care settings while maintaining high standards of medical administrative support. Lead financial management efforts including budgeting, revenue cycle management, billing processes, and cost control measures. Foster a positive organizational culture that emphasizes teamwork, continuous improvement, and exceptional patient experiences. Experience Proven leadership experience in healthcare or medical practice management with a strong background in clinic operations. Extensive knowledge of medical office management practices including billing, coding (HIPAA compliance), and medical records documentation. Demonstrated expertise in fiscal management—budgeting, financial analysis, and resource allocation within a healthcare setting. Supervisory experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams including nursing staff, administrative personnel, and clinical providers. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix or Eaglesoft for efficient clinical documentation and workflow management. Familiarity with healthcare regulations including JCAHO standards and managed care policies to ensure ongoing compliance. Experience working within acute care environments or hospital settings is advantageous; veterinary or dental clinic experience is a plus but not required. Strong understanding of human resources practices related to staffing, employee relations, and performance management in a healthcare context.
