Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Director to lead and oversee our behavioral health and mental health programs. This vital role involves managing clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and fostering a collaborative environment for our multidisciplinary team. The Clinical Director will play a key role in implementing evidence-based practices, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and advancing clinical research initiatives. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and supervision to clinical staff, including therapists, counselors, and case managers, ensuring adherence to best practices in behavioral health and mental health counseling. Oversee patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and progress monitoring across diverse populations including children, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and those requiring crisis intervention or PTSD care. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, proper medical documentation, and accurate maintenance of medical records while safeguarding patient confidentiality. Develop and implement clinical protocols utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), motivational interviewing, behavioral management techniques, and group therapy sessions. Coordinate intake processes for new patients, manage case management activities, and facilitate individual or family counseling sessions as needed. Lead clinical research efforts by collecting data, analyzing outcomes, and contributing to evidence-based practices within the organization. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management protocols while providing direct support during urgent cases involving mental health or behavioral crises. Foster a positive work environment that promotes professional development through training on topics like medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs. Requirements Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field; licensure as required by state law. Extensive experience working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, and in settings such as hospitals or community clinics. Proven expertise in behavioral health modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), motivational interviewing, and behavior management strategies. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10), CPT coding procedures, and medical documentation standards aligned with HIPAA compliance. Demonstrated ability to lead clinical teams effectively while managing patient care plans and conducting diagnostic evaluations. Exceptional skills in crisis intervention, PTSD care management, group therapy facilitation, and working within multidisciplinary teams. Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations. $86,698.70 - $105,615.64 per year
