Job Description

Position Summary:
The candidate selected for this position will help to develop a center of excellence for a state-of-the-art optometric practice within extremely busy optical retailer. We are seeking a full-time Patient Care Coordinator for a company that is involved in providing patients with comprehensive eye health exams in conjunction with Remote Optometrists via Ocular Telehealth Technology. Candidate must have an upbeat positive personality, is articulate, maintain excellent customer service and multi-tasking skills. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful c andidate to grow in an evolving professional service, and support of cutting-edge vision care services.
Job Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
Proper medical history taking Knowledge of common eye diseases and symptoms Measure visual acuities at distance and near utilizing the appropriate test Perform preliminary screening test Ophthalmic instrument technique Maintain proper documentation Conduct Autorefractions, Lensometry, Visual field, Retinal imaging, Non-contact Tonometry, Anterior Segment Photography, and Manual Assessments Calibration and maintenance of each instrument and machine
Contact Lens Instruction:
Insertion/ Removal/ Care and Handling Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor and/or manager.
Administrative Duties:
Patient scheduling and coordination Patient registration and intake via EHR Interfacing with optical retailer Payment Collection (cashless) Maintaining the facility by cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting equipment and all touchpoints throughout the day Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor and/or manager.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 1 years' experience as a Medical Assistant, Ophthalmic or Optometric Assistant or Telehealth Patient Care Coordinator. Willing too learn how to utilize vision care testing devices EHR experience a strong plus Strong interpersonal skills Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual Demonstrated interest in quality improvement Bi-lingual a plus, but not required Flexibility to work on Saturdays, if required

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
