The Nurse Manager plays a critical leadership role in fostering a culture of clinical excellence, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care, and supporting the professional development and competency of nursing staff. The ideal candidate has strong behavioral health RN experience, leadership and communication skills. About the Unit The 2 East Adult Behavioral Health Unit is a 24-bed general adult behavioral health unit caring for patients experiencing acute psychiatric illnesses and co-occurring disorders. Focus on short-term stabilization and recovery Emphasis on return-to-work strategies and cognitive therapies Strong collaboration with Maine Medical Center and referring facilities across Maine Goal of supporting patients in successful transition back to the community
Summary:
The Nurse Manager assists the Director in the coordination, supervision, and management of all personnel and patient care activities of the unit and in the successful operation of the hospital and network at large. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a graduate of an accredited Nursing program required. RNC preferred.
License/Certifications:
Licensed as a registered professional nurse by the Maine State Board of Nursing required.
Experience:
2+ years of psychiatric nursing or comparable experience preferred. Demonstrate leadership and management skills. Demonstrate expertise in clinical practice and judgment.
