Full-time Job Summary/Objective:
The Clinical Lead - First Step will provide clinical and procedural guidance in the implementation of Summit Pointe First Step, a psychiatric urgent care program. This role works closely with the Director of Access to ensure adherence to organizational and programmatic goals and compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
Essential Duties and Functions:
Monitor and report on program measures relating to customer outcomes and operational indicators associated with First Step care guidelines. Assist with and provide clinical training for staff associated with First Step program. Assists in creating/revising policies and SOP's. Performs other duties as directed. Participates in excellent critical thinking and problem solving and continuously renews commitment to exceed customer expectations. Facilitate interdisciplinary peer review and workgroups for teams operating within First Step. Participate in corporate quality improvement and problem-solving activities. Maintain confidentiality and privacy within MDHHS, state and federal guidelines. Utilize knowledge of CARF, CMS, CCBHC, MDHHS and Managed Care standards. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or related field, with experience in behavioral health. Licensure in the State of Michigan preferred. Five years' experience in clinical practice within a behavioral healthcare setting and 3 years of experience in an administrative/management capacity preferred. This position requires a high degree of clinical knowledge and competence as well as management/business skills and knowledge of community-based behavioral health services Self-directed and resourceful.
