Occupational Therapy License Full Job Description SUMMARY:
The PT/OT Rehabilitation Lead collaborates with their leader on staffing to meet participant/center needs. In general, provides daily guidance and discipline-specific expertise in area of practice; may complete special projects or act on behalf of the leader as assigned.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
Guides daily workflow/productivity in designated area. Collaborates with other departments/areas to ensure focus on participant needs and outcomes. Collaborates with leadership to maintain open communication among all team members; facilitates dialogue when needed to promote team-building, staff retention, and education/competency. Maintain clinical/operational expertise in given discipline in order to be content expert for assigned scope. Share responsibility with staff for peer review, quality improvement initiatives and/or quality assurance activities. Monitor customer service and assist with service recovery. Provide and coordinate staff training and education. Serve as a liaison with Primary Care, other

leaders, and staff to promote quality participant care and program development. Monitor and help to lead each site's daily operational activities related to the provision of participant care including: egress/ingress of participants, participant scheduling, adherence with staffing plan and the provision of direct patient care according to policy and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Physical or Occupational Therapy degree, either therapist or assistant level. Appropriate state licensure or registration as a physical therapist (PT)/physical therapist assistant (PTA) or occupational therapist (OTR/L)/occupational therapy assistant (COTA). A minimum of 3 years clinical experience required as a PT/PTA or OTR/L or COTA is required Experience in a leadership role preferred. One-year minimum work experience in a PACE environment Clinical experience with geriatric population and dementia.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Participant care environments at multiple sites with potential exposure to communicable diseases.
