- Full-time Job Overview Pivotal is looking for a dedicated Clinical Supervisor to join our Children's Services team.
This mid-level management role is perfect for a compassionate clinical professional who wants to bridge the gap between strategic agency goals and frontline, family-centered therapeutic care. In this role, you will provide day-to-day clinical oversight, administrative management, and leadership to a passionate, multidisciplinary team. Reporting directly to the Clinical Director of Children's Services, you will ensure our services remain accessible, equitable, and highly effective for children and families navigating serious emotional disturbances, mental illness, or developmental disabilities. You will champion a trauma-informed culture, help cultivate a healthy and positive work environment, and support staff in delivering exceptional care while meeting essential regulatory and productivity standards. Key Responsibilities You will provide targeted guidance to clinicians, ensuring that therapeutic interventions are both trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate for youth and families. This includes supporting the Clinical Director with staff recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training, alongside offering routine individual consultation and group supervision. You will also assist the team with advanced workflows, guiding them through complex processes like Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) and Children's Waiver Program (CWP) applications, specialized residential placements, and high-intensity service referrals. On the administrative side, you will ensure clinical documentation is completed accurately and timely, co-signing records to remain compliant with Medicaid, CCBHC, and insurance guidelines. You will keep operations moving smoothly by monitoring team reports, tracking metrics like unassigned clients or documentation turnaround, and managing REDCap data entry for specialized youth and parent support programs. Collaboration is huge in this role, so you will participate in departmental A3 strategies and Tier 1 huddles while maintaining great professional relationships with community and state partners. Additionally, you will participate in the Manager on Duty rotation and step in to provide temporary direct care if staff are on a prolonged leave. What We Are Looking For To qualify for this position, you must hold a Master's degree and a valid professional license, such as an LMSW, LPC, or LLP. Having two to five years of experience is preferred. We need someone with strong clinical expertise in child and adolescent mental health, along with a deep understanding of human growth and development across the age spectrum. You should be well-versed in Evidence-Based Practices, the DSM-V, psychotropic medications, and developmental disorders. Familiarity with CARF, the Mental Health Code, and CCBHC frameworks will be highly beneficial. Because you will be interacting with a diverse group of staff, families, and community stakeholders, excellent verbal and written communication skills, crisis management abilities, and a natural knack for team-building and conflict resolution are essential.
