- Full-time Pivotal is looking for a dedicated Clinical Supervisor to join our Outpatient and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Therapy team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled clinician who wants to guide a multidisciplinary team and ensure a full continuum of recovery-focused care for adults navigating mental illness and substance use challenges. In this leadership role, you will report directly to the Clinical Director of SUD, Outpatient, and Clubhouse. You will provide day-to-day clinical oversight and administrative management, ensuring our services remain accessible, affordable, and fully aligned with regulatory frameworks and agency goals. By fostering a supportive, trauma-informed culture and championing person-centered planning, you will help your team empower individuals to define and achieve their unique life goals. Key Responsibilities You will take the lead on team growth by interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new employees in alignment with agency human resource parameters. Supporting your staff is a primary focus, and you will accomplish this through regular individual consultation, fielding daily clinical questions, and leading group supervision or team meetings. You will also provide clear direction to staff on implementing programs tailored to member needs, conduct annual performance evaluations, and ensure everyone completes required CCBHC, CARF, and MDHHS training. On the operational side, you will keep things running smoothly by reviewing and co-signing clinical documentation to ensure strict compliance with Medicaid, CARF, and CCBHC guidelines. You will monitor key department metrics and reports—such as unassigned clients, caseload distribution, and documentation timelines—collaborating directly with staff to resolve any areas of concern. Your role also involves working closely with internal and external partners to maintain efficient clinic workflows, helping formulate new program policies, and stepping in to assist with Manager on Duty responsibilities or crisis response coordination. When needed, you will also provide temporary direct services during complex situations or prolonged staff absences. What We Are Looking For To qualify for this position, you must have a Master's degree and a valid professional license, such as an LMSW, LPC, or LLP. Two to five years of experience in the field is highly preferred. We are seeking a leader with robust clinical knowledge of Evidence-Based Practices, the DSM-V, psychotropic medications, and developmental disorders. Familiarity with CARF standards, the Mental Health Code, and insurance frameworks will make you stand out. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary to connect effectively with clients, staff, and external community stakeholders. Ultimately, we want someone who can problem-solve under pressure, handle crisis situations smoothly, and actively contribute to a safe, positive, and collaborative workplace environment.
