Central City Health is committed to enabling every patient in our community to thrive by building a collaborative multidisciplinary healthcare team. Under the direct supervision of the Senior Executive Director of Operations, provides oversight and direction to the SUD Behavioral Health Team for daily clinical operations. The Director of SUD Services works collaboratively with the staff of the clinical programs to ensure compliance with agency and clinical standards, as well as federal, state, local and third-party payer expectations. This person will develop and maintain operations to maximize clinical efficiencies and quality objectives while achieving productivity requirements. The Director of SUD Services will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordination of clinical practices within the agency.RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Oversee the operations of the SUD division. 2. Ensures all actions, job performance, personal conduct and communications represent the organization in a highly professional manner. 3. Develops and implements policies and plans for clinical functions and/or programs so that services meet the guidelines set forth by accrediting, licensing, and funding bodies; monitors and evaluates program performance ensuring consistency with the dictates of the funder and professional standards. 4. In collaboration with the leadership team, identifies and assesses new or changing practice needs; analyzes the impact on the practice (including staff, facility, equipment, operating costs, etc.) and initiates actions necessary to accomplish proposed goals. 5. Facilitates necessary in-service training programs, space redesign, and equipment purchases associated with practice needs/goals and budgets; determines agency-wide impact and advises ancillary personnel accordingly. 6. Establishes goals, staff evaluation measures, and quality indicators for areas of responsibility consistent with organizational objectives; coaches' clinical staff in meeting programmatic goals and monitors plans of correction for any measures falling short of the established goal. 7. Monitors program to ensure compliance with quality goals/outcomes and fidelity expectations. 8. Ensures the integration of services inclusive of primary care, behavioral health, dental services, and supportive housing; promotes a team-based approach to patient care delivery. 9. Participates in the development of agency workflows to assure compliance with FQHC, NCQA, CMH, DWIHN and Medicaid/Medicare regulatory standards. 10. Assures evidence-based clinical practice workflow; provides oversight and ensures compliance with standards for clinical documentation in the electronic medical record. 11. Reviews performance improvement activities such as quality assurance audits, continuing education, Patient Centered Medical Home processes, and peer reviews; develops and implements training modules as needs are identified through chart reviews, best practices, and audit findings. 12. Provides coaching, mentoring and supervision clinical staff and/or managers; ensures high standards of performance by proactively addressing issues through coaching and disciplinary conversations and by feedback provided through the performance review process. 13. Assumes a leadership role in the development, implementation and integration of new programs and services. 14. Assures timely completion of required reports and clinical reviews as required by all stakeholders. 15. Participates in meetings/conferences and continuing education and demonstrates a genuine desire to develop strategies for improved operations and high-level patient care. 16. Keeps abreast of current trends regarding best practices and evidenced based treatment, wellness, and recovery management. 17. Performs all other duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master's degree in social work, healthcare administration, public health, counseling, psychology, nursing required. Valid Michigan licensure as a LMSW, LPC, LP or RN required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Minimum of five (5) years of recent leadership experience required. Valid certification as a Substance Abuse and Addiction Counselor (CAADC) required. Must meet all Continuing Education requirements. Experience in managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting critical deadlines. Expert knowledge of community mental health policies, procedures, supervision strategies and current evidence based clinical practice.
