Job Description

Corewell Health Grand Rapids Hospitals Rehabilitation and Nursing Center Time and again, research has shown that the healthier the surroundings, the healthier the person. We work hard to help our residents stay mentally and physically active through a variety of services and daily activities. Our residents' range in age and diversity. Typically, residents choose long-term care when they require more medical attention than their family members can provide. As part of West Michigan's largest health care system, our long-term care programs provide access to award-winning health care. The RN Supervisor role follows a 4×10-hour work schedule. The preferred start time is 4:00 p.m., though some flexibility is available. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of their LPN license with a solid clinical background and supervisory/management experience. Scope of work Assumes shift accountability for managing, supervising, and coordinating the operational and financial effectiveness and efficiency of the nursing service. Some service lines may require the ability to be available on call to better support the nursing services. Assists with development of policies, procedures and processes in coordination with unit leaders to ensure the highest quality services are always provided to all customers. Key responsibilities include assisting with the following: department-based goal setting, program development, fiscal management, resource allocation, standards of care, policy and procedure development and interpretation, human resource development, performance improvement and maintenance of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships. Will provide oversight to the registered nurse and licensed practical clinical practices. Will participate in on-call duties as assigned. Assume House Supervisor role as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Preferred. 1+ years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required. MI Registered Nurse (RN) Preferred.
