Job Description

Full-Time | In-Person | Michigan Clinics Are you a detail-oriented healthcare professional who enjoys combining clinical knowledge with patient care coordination? Specialty Infusion Center is seeking a Clinical Utilization Review Specialist to support our infusion teams and ensure patients receive timely, high-quality care. This position plays an essential role in reviewing patient referrals, coordinating clinical documentation, supporting insurance and authorization requirements, and helping patients navigate their infusion therapy journey. While this position primarily works within our clinics, occasional direct patient care responsibilities may occur based on operational needs. Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday, daytime hours In-person position at one of our Michigan clinic locations What You'll Do Review new patient referrals to ensure therapy appropriateness and completeness Evaluate clinical documentation, diagnostic testing, and treatment requirements Coordinate with providers, referral sources, and internal teams to obtain required documentation Support pre-infusion requirements and readiness for patient care Conduct post-infusion follow-up calls and document patient outcomes Provide patient education and ongoing support Communicate clinical concerns and escalate issues as appropriate Collaborate with nursing, pharmacy, and provider teams to ensure continuity of care Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record Assist with patient care activities as needed to support clinic operations What You'll Bring Current Michigan LPN or RN license preferred Two or more years of clinical healthcare experience preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication and patient education abilities Experience with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications Current BLS certification preferred Infusion, specialty care, ambulatory care, or care coordination experience is a plus What Makes You Successful You enjoy problem-solving and attention to detail.
