Job Description

Job Summary We are a pediatric dental office dedicated to providing exceptional dental care for children in a welcoming, friendly, and fun environment. Our goal is to make every visit a positive experience for both our young patients and their families. We are looking for a professional, friendly, and detail-oriented patient care coordinator to join our growing team.
Job Overview:
As the patient care coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for patients and their families. You will play an essential role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere in our office. This role requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome patients and families as they arrive in a friendly and professional manner. Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow. Verify and update patient information, including insurance details and medical histories. Process insurance verifications, billing, and payments. Ensure that the office environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients and families. Maintain patient records and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Provide information to patients about procedures, treatments, and office policies. Assist with appointment reminders and follow-up communication via phone or email. Support the dental team with administrative tasks as needed. Handle patient inquiries, address concerns, and ensure a positive patient experience. Manage office supplies and ensure that all necessary materials are stocked and available. Work closely with the dental staff to ensure smooth patient transitions and efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a dental setting is required. Dentrix experience is highly preferred. Billing experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with children is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong phone etiquette and communication skills. Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations. Must be a team player with a positive attitude. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and verify their appointment details with accuracy and kindness Schedule appointments efficiently, accommodating patient needs while managing provider availability Collect and update patient information, ensuring all records are complete and compliant with privacy regulations Explain treatment procedures, insurance processes, and clinic policies clearly to patients Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate timely patient flow and follow-up care Maintain organized medical records, billing documentation, and appointment logs with meticulous attention to detail Support administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to patient inquiries, and managing correspondence Experience Prior experience working in a dental office setting is required. Familiarity with dental terminology to accurately communicate with patients and staff Demonstrated ability to support dental administrative functions efficiently Office experience that highlights strong organizational and multitasking skills Knowledge of dental office procedures is highly preferred.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
