Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Supervisor to oversee clinical operations in our Petoskey Orthopaedic Clinic. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of leading and developing a clinical practice, and a passion for guiding clinical teams to deliver exceptional patient care. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising clinical staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes best practices in a clinical setting.
Job Summary:
Leadership duties and responsibilities Delegates and coordinates tasks and duties of employees to ensure smooth operation of clinic Evaluates workload of staff and makes recommendations for optimization Conducts regular meetings with clinical staff to address any questions, comments, or concerns Coaches, motivates, disciplines staff when needed and refers advance issues to Clinical Director or CEO Develop programs to ensure compliance with procedures and policies Ensure adherence to clinical policies and procedures by staff Act as a role model Clinical Support duties and responsibilities Monitors patient flow and creates and maintains employee and providers' schedules Investigates patient flow problems and develops solutions Demonstrates excellent customer service skills, and provide timely resolution to patient concerns as needed Ensures that all clinical staff is accurately notating patients' electronic health records to maintain compliance, accuracy and quality clinical documentation Oversees and improves clinical processes/protocols assuring that the best reliable procedures are used Develops methods to measure productivity of employees and clinic as a whole. Staffing and Staff development duties and responsibilities Responsible for hiring, mentoring, training and promoting a high functioning clinical staff of Medical Assistants and other clinical support staff Schedules clinical staff according to workloads and available equipment and space Conducts yearly employee evaluations Assists in resolving interpersonal conflicts among clinical team and other staff members Encourages internal and external continuing education opportunities for staff Ensures technician certifications and licenses are kept up to date per company policy Conducts and supervises drills and in-service training to communicate all pertinent information relating to the clinic's daily functions and to ensure compliance with industry standards Facility Management duties and responsibilities Monitors inventory control processes and supervises personnel using a cost-effective approach ensuring the clinic is adequately supplied with all necessary pharmaceuticals and general supplies. Oversees equipment maintenance following all manufacturer guidelines and according to company policy Establishes and maintains a positive and safe work environment as required by OSHA Preferred Knowledge and Experience/Education Experience leading and developing a clinical practice 3-5 years Certification and licensing for LPN or RN Orthopaedic knowledge Intermediate or advanced computer skills, including knowledge of relevant EMR systems (Athena preferred) Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel Proficient with case management fundamentals Some knowledge of medical billing Human Resource knowledge
