Variable Position Summary:
Assists the nursing manager in meeting patient and employee needs within the department/unit assigned. Responsible for the day-to-day supervision, coordination, and participation in the delivery of nursing care for the assigned patient care unit following hospital policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice.
Responsibilities:
Acts as leader for the unit and liaison between staff and manager. Provides input and participates in personnel issues including hiring, scheduling, orienting, disciplining, appraising, and terminating employees. Coordinates patient placement and delivery of patient care for the assigned unit to ensure efficient nursing services and quality care Assures flow of surgery patients utilizing the OR schedule, available resources, skill of OR staff to run the daily operations of our OR suites. #LI-KH1 Required Associate Degree from an accredited Nursing program Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license Three years' experience in nursing within specific unit Current BLS certification Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
