Job Description

JOB TITLE

General Summary - Establishes and promotes the professional, clinical and ethical values and standards to which all staff are expected to adhere. The Director of Clinical Services will promote the quality of care, establish and maintain the standards of care on both clinical and programmatic levels. Manages day to day staff and operations of the facility.
Job Tasks/Responsibilities:
Coordinates and oversees the direct clinical services, including intakes, assignment of cases, scheduling of services, staff schedules, implementation of new/revised policies and procedures, scheduling of client services. Assures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, credentialing, accreditation, ethics and the mental health code. Completes initial assessment for all new intakes and ensures services and treatments are clinically appropriate and meet the level of care for each client. Coordinates case conferences and medical consultations with clinical staff. Heads monthly staff meetings. Coordinates medical records services. Oversees management of facility. Provides program development creation and implementation, assists with community outreach activities, aids in maintaining positive relationships with referral sources. Oversees personnel matters involving program staff, including evaluation and termination. Assists with developing overall program goals, objectives, and their review and the program's compliance in achieving targeted goals. Develops and assists in completing both routine and special reports, outcomes reports, and other correspondence. Oversees ancillary services of all instructional staff, including evaluation and termination. Assumes the lead role in all matters pertaining to the accreditation of the facility. Maintains ethical standards and responsibilities in accordance with the requirements of the procession and position. Maintains appropriate certification, attends seminars to continue certification requirements (CEUs). Comply with all company policies and procedures as well as federal and state laws. Follow all licensing and regulatory rules and CARF standards. May be expected to provide therapy services as needed. Expected to participate in company events.
Competencies:
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of management theories. Knowledge of employee management. Knowledge of the strategies of rehabilitation management. Thorough understanding of health and safety laws. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated organizational ability and financial expertise.
Education and Experience:
Graduate degree at the master's level or above in a health services field. Fully licensed 5 years post graduate master's degree with demonstrated administrative and supervisory experience. Familiarity with Michigan No-Fault insurance law. Must have knowledge of working with TBI and co-occurring disorders. Must have knowledge of substance use. Must have knowledge of CARF Accreditation.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
