Monday-Thursday | 8:30 AM-4:00 PM (Approximately 30 hours/week)

Starting at $17.00/hour with performance-based pay increases. About Fairfield Pediatrics Fairfield Pediatrics is a growing independent pediatric practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to children and their families. We are looking for a dependable, professional team member who enjoys helping others and takes pride in doing things the right way. Position Summary The Patient Care Coordinator is the first point of contact for our patients and families. This position is much more than answering phones—it requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to keep the front office running smoothly. Accuracy is more important than speed. We are looking for someone who follows instructions carefully, communicates professionally, and asks questions when unsure rather than making assumptions. Responsibilities Welcome patients and families in a warm and professional manner Answer incoming phone calls and accurately document patient messages Schedule appointments appropriately based on office guidelines Verify insurance and patient demographic information Collect copays and patient balances Check patients in and out accurately Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical record (EMR) Maintain an organized front desk and waiting area Assist with general administrative duties Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Has exceptional attention to detail and takes pride in getting things right the first time. Exercises good judgment and knows when to ask questions rather than making assumptions. Follows instructions carefully and consistently. Is dependable, punctual, and takes ownership of assigned responsibilities. Communicates professionally with patients, families, and coworkers. Maintains honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times. Is organized, efficient, and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Enjoys providing outstanding customer service to children and families. Wants to grow with a long-term practice. Qualifications At least one year of medical front desk experience is strongly preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Comfortable using computers and electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Professional references from previous supervisors are required. Schedule Requirement This is a permanent Monday-Thursday position (approximately 30 hours per week). Applicants must be available to work Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM-4:00 PM.
