Responsibilities The Associate Administrator for the surgical practice will partner with the chair of the Rochester Surgical and Procedural Practice Subcommittee and multidisciplinary leadership team to provide strategic direction and oversight for surgical operations, drive digital innovation, quality initiatives and new care models, and lead the Rochester surgical operations team as Mayo Clinic transforms healthcare in alignment with its Bold. The Associate Administrator reports to the Chief Administrative Officer of Mayo Clinic in Rochester and participates in planning and implementation of the strategic and operational goals and objectives of the practice. The person in this role is accountable for providing guidance, leadership development and administrative support to their teams and committees, and is a servant leader who partners with physician, nursing and other multidisciplinary leaders to oversee all aspects of the surgical and procedural teams. The Associate Administrator is responsible for planning, business objectives and fiscal management to achieve top decile quality and service performance. In collaboration with physician and administrative leaders throughout Mayo Clinic, the person in this position will enhance relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure the successful implementation of strategic initiatives in alignment with Mayo Clinic's mission and values. Qualifications Must possess a master's degree in healthcare administration or comparable discipline with a minimum of five years' experience in a leadership role. Excellent communication, management, leadership, quality, and operational skills required. Exemption Status Exempt Compensation Detail The minimum starting salary for the position may range from $327,000 to $491,000. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
