Job Description
Director of Health Services Job Description The Director of Health Services will oversee the comprehensive management and coordination of functions for various health service units, including Home Health, Assisted Living Center, Supportive Living Center, and Short-Term Rehabilitation Center. This role supports medical care and services in alignment with the organization's philosophy, mission, values, and goals. The Director will ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and compassionate care delivery while transforming organizational values into daily operations. This position also involves oversight of clinical nursing practices and the management of evidence-based programs, systems, and services. Responsibilities Manage and coordinate all Health Services functions across multiple care units. Support delivery of high-quality medical care and services aligned with organizational goals. Oversee clinical nursing practices and ensure evidence-based program implementation. Develop and manage policies, programs, and services related to healthcare delivery. Lead annual budget planning and workforce planning initiatives. Drive recruitment and retention strategies for healthcare staff. Assess care environments and forecast healthcare trends for continuous improvement. Communicate organizational values and mentor healthcare staff. Manage resources efficiently to support operational excellence. Ensure compliance with nursing standards and regulatory requirements. Engage with residents, families, and stakeholders to enhance care experience. Lead or participate in committees to support Health Services operations. Essential Skills Master's degree in nursing or a Bachelor's degree in nursing with a Master's degree in business or a health-related field. 3 years of experience in nursing service administration with line management responsibilities. Current RN License. Previous experience in long-term care, home health, or acute care nursing. Work Environment This position operates within an assisted living/long-term care environment. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 1st shift, totaling 40 hours per week. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Rochester, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $100.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
