Education Level:

Graduate of accredited dental assisting program or 3+ years of pediatric dental office experience. Must have N2O and CPR certification.

Description:

The clinical lead position provides leadership to the clinical team and acts as a liaison between providers and the clinical team. The clinical lead is responsible for managing a back office team that assists in providing quality dental care in a clean, safe, and friendly environment for patients and their families. In addition to assisting in the clinical care of patients, the clinical lead role also encourages teamwork and communication to make each appointment and each day positive and productive for the team and the families we serve.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Possess knowledge of dental terminology
• Understand and comply with policy and procedures associated with dental practice
• Maintain compliance with state dental practice requirements
• Understand and comply with HIPAA
• CPR certified
• Possess computer skills
• Possess good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, other staff members and community
• N2O certified
• Credentialed with local hospital/ surgery center preferred, not required

Essential Functions:

• Be organized, motivated, committed and goal oriented
• Be personable with children as well as parents
• Ability to speak in kid friendly terms and adapt to mannerisms that appeal to a child
• Act as a liaison between doctor and back office staff.
• Anticipate or identify problems that may arise within the clinical portion of the practice and work with providers and team to come up with solutions to solve them.
• Manage back office scheduling by making decisions based on appropriate staffing availability and potential patients to be seen
• Assist in the training of back office team members in their duties and responsibilities; delegate tasks and motivate high performing team members.
• Work cooperatively and collaboratively with others to achieve goals and support the practice Participate in Quarterly Marketing Events throughout the commmunity.
• Able to express ideas and information clearly with teammates

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee: ○ May be regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time ○ Require specific vision abilities required by this job include; close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. ○ Is required to do detailed work, using arms, hands, and fingers to handle and feel objects associated with work. ○ Must have good hand eye coordination and manual dexterity. ○ Must have the ability to administer CPR ○ May have to physically assist drowsy patients after anesthesia.

$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
