Job Description

Overview Home Sweet Home Supportive Living is seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Operations with strong DMH ISL experience. Leading our organization's operational functions to drive sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of management principles, strategic planning, and business development. As a key member of senior leadership, the Director of Operations will oversee daily operations, optimize processes, and foster a culture of excellence and innovation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape organizational success through effective leadership, operational efficiency, and strategic initiatives. Duties Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Provide strong leadership and oversight to clinical and administrative teams. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence in patient care. Recruit, mentor, and evaluate staff performance. Lead regular team meetings and performance improvement initiatives. Develop succession planning and staff development strategies. Licensure, Certification & Compliance Maintain agency compliance with all state and federal licensure requirements. Ensure adherence to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation. Oversee preparation for state surveys, audits, and accreditation reviews. Ensure compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and all other healthcare regulatory standards. Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements. Operational & Strategic Oversight Develop and implement strategic plans to support agency growth and service excellence. Monitor operational performance, productivity metrics, and financial outcomes. Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions and process improvements. Collaborate with executive leadership on budgeting and resource allocation. Establish and monitor quality assurance and performance improvement programs. Clinical & Quality Assurance Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. Oversee quality improvement initiatives and corrective action plans. Review clinical outcomes and ensure appropriate documentation standards. Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective strategies when necessary. On-Call & Crisis Management Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours leadership support. Address urgent operational, staffing, or patient care issues. Provide decisive leadership during emergency or crisis situations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred. Demonstrated experience with state licensure processes, CMS certification, and regulatory compliance. Strong knowledge of Medicaid waiver & DMH policies. Proven ability to lead teams, develop strategic solutions, and drive organizational growth. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Must be willing to participate in on-call rotation.
REQUIREMENTS

): Must have prior Director-level experience in DMH ISL services 5-10 years of Director experience in ISL settings preferred Must have experience with DMH audits, compliance, and regulations Must be knowledgeable in medical/dental binders, Individual Support Plan (ISP)/Behavior Support Plan (BSP), Medication Administration Record (MAR), and documentation Must have experience with DMH budgets and billing Must be available, dependable, and hands-on in daily operations Only candidates with direct DMH ISL Director experience will be considered.
