Manager - Hospital Billing

Responsible for the overall hospital billing operations of the Patient Accounts department including billing, denial management, claim follow-up, compliance with third party payer regulations, and ongoing improvement to key revenue cycle indicators.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Two years college or equivalent experience in patient billing required
• Minimum two years supervisory experience preferred
• Ability to obtain AAHAM or HFMA certification within one year required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet Explorer and payer website navigation
• Knowledge of

CPT, ICD-9

coding and hospital/physician billing

• Knowledge of applicable federal, state and laws and regulations
• Knowledge of all aspects of third party reimbursement policies and practices
• Knowledge of hospital billing systems and government payment systems
• Knowledge of Rural Health billing helpful
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to assess and evaluate complex financial data
