June 22, 2026 Responsibilities What you'll do Manage and perform medical billing operations for clinical services, including charge entry, coding, claims submission, payment posting, accounts receivable, denial resolution, and collections to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement. Oversee and administer the Department's electronic health record (EHR) system by running reports, creating queries, supporting staff, and optimizing workflows to support clinical and public health operations. Ensure compliance with federal, state, payer, and HIPAA requirements by maintaining accurate billing records, documentation, audit trails, and secure health information systems. Analyze billing performance, accounts receivable, reimbursement trends, and operational data to provide reports and recommendations to leadership that support revenue recovery and quality improvement. Develop, implement, and improve billing, data management, and EHR processes, policies, and procedures to increase efficiency, data quality, and system reliability. Provide training, technical guidance, and supervisory oversight related to billing processes, patient data collection, and health information systems. What success looks like Medical claims are accurate, compliant, and processed on time with reduced denials. EHR systems function reliably and support reporting, clinical operations, and program needs. Billing and data workflows are clearly documented, understood, and consistently followed. Leadership receives clear, actionable insights on revenue, performance, and data trends. Staff feel supported and trained to use billing and EHR systems effectively. An accredited Bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional experience in business or public sector administration to include at least 2 years performing administrative and/or supervisory work involving more complex projects or programs; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience with at least 2 years performing administrative and/or supervisory work involving more complex projects or programs.
