Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)

Lake Regional Health System is looking for an outgoing, professional Health Unit Coordinator (HUC). Lake Regional offers a wide range of employment opportunities in our community. The Health Unit Coordinator provides administrative support for the unit by answering the phones, scanning patient information, and assisting nursing staff, medical staff, patients, families, visitors, and all other hospital departments. Key Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and respectfully, demonstrating compassion Take all nurse inbound calls to triage the patient and schedule the patient's appointment Help with work quality reports and schedule accordingly Complete all refills and all prior authorizations Respond in a timely manner and keep patients informed while maintaining confidentially and adhering to all privacy and protected health regulations

Qualifications/Requirements:

A high school diploma or an equivalent is required.
