- The Director of Specialty Care Services provides operational leadership and oversight for specialty care clinic operations within the Medical Group.
This role partners with providers, clinic leadership, and operational departments to support patient experience, employee engagement, quality outcomes, regulatory readiness, operational efficiency, and organizational initiatives. The Director is responsible for supporting clinic managers, driving process improvement, promoting standardized workflows, and ensuring effective day-to-day clinic operations aligned with organizational goals and strategic priorities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports clinic managers in achieving operational, quality, patient experience, access, and financial performance goals.
- Maintains active presence within clinics and fosters strong relationships with providers and staff to promote accountability, teamwork, communication, and service excellence.
- Leads and supports the development and implementation of standardized workflows and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and patient experience.
- Monitors key operational, staffing, access, and quality metrics to support performance improvement and informed decision-making.
- Ensures compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and clinical best practices.
- Partners with providers and departments across the health system to support organizational initiatives and optimize clinic performance.
- Supports adoption of technology solutions that improve patient access, communication, and operational efficiency.
- Supports fiscal responsibility through effective resource utilization, staffing oversight, and budget management. Additional Information

- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, or related field required.
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Knowledge of healthcare operations, regulatory requirements, and patient experience principles preferred. Work Experience
- Minimum of three years of healthcare leadership or clinic operations experience required. Previous ambulatory, medical specialty, or medical group operations experience preferred. Supervisory or management experience preferred. Certification/License
- Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) preferred. Mental/Physical Requirements
- Ability to receive and express detailed information through oral and written communications.
Extended periods of concentration across a range of complex and changing assignments is required. This position requires movement throughout the health system, including travel to various departments and facility locations as needed. Some lifting and carrying may be required for objects under 25 pounds. Working Conditions
