Additional Information About the Role BJC Health has an opportunity for an Environmental Manager. This role functions in a consultative capacity, providing proactive support to address potential issues before they arise. It encompasses all aspects of environmental compliance in the Greater St. Louis area, while partnering closely with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams at BJC locations. Hybrid position, travel to BJC locations is required. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Direct, monitor and review programs, procedures, and methods utilized to ensure environmental compliance. Limit environmental liability through risk reduction and strategic planning guidance. Coordinate and centralize environmental activities and compliance strategies. Responsibilities Conducts environmental risk assessments and occurrence investigations at all organizational facilities as applicable. Reconciles hazardous waste manifests in accordance with agency requirements. Develops and approves policies, procedures and reports being utilized for compliance with complex regulatory issues. Monitors, reviews and communicates Federal, State and local level environmental health and safety compliance , and consensus guidelines. Develops and maintains records and master files as pertains to compliance issues associated with each facility. Audits and monitors environmental vendors in an effort to enhance environmental management program effectiveness and efficiencies.
