Job Description

Patient Care Coordinator 1010 Old Des Peres Road, St. Louis, MO 63131 From $17 an hour - Full-time From $17 an hour - Full-time The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is the first point of contact for patients and visitors at Sound Health and plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, seamless experience from the moment a patient walks through our doors. In this position, you will greet and assist patients, coordinate scheduling, manage key administrative tasks, and serve as a central link between patients and our clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. We are seeking an individual who is personable, organized, and adaptable, someone who can multitask effectively, communicate clearly, and contribute positively to a team-oriented culture. Compensation is commensurate with education and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction & Front Desk Duties:
Greet patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner. Check patients in and out for appointments. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details. Assist patients in completing necessary forms and documentation. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
Administrative & Clerical Duties:
Maintain and update patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Process insurance verifications and authorizations. Handle co-payment and balance collection. Manage office emails and correspondence. Maintain an organized and clean reception area.
Confidentiality & Compliance:
Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Follow clinic policies and procedures regarding data entry and record-keeping. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and office protocols. Qualified candidates will have at least two (2) years of customer service experience in the medical industry and a minimum of one (1) year of EMR experience.
