Health and Wellness Director

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Health and Wellness Director to lead our comprehensive health services within our senior living community. This pivotal role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and management of resident care programs that promote optimal health, safety, and well-being. As a key leader, you will coordinate interdisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and foster an environment of excellence in resident care. Your expertise will help create a vibrant community where residents thrive physically, emotionally, and socially. Responsibilities Lead the planning and execution of resident care strategies aligned with best practices in assisted living, nursing home, home health, hospice care, and acute care settings. Supervise nursing staff and care teams to ensure high-quality delivery of services while maintaining staffing efficiency through shift management and resource allocation. Develop and oversee individualized care plans for residents, incorporating medical records review, documentation review, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and family members to coordinate holistic care that addresses residents' physical and emotional needs. Ensure accurate utilization of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for documentation, medication management, and medical records maintenance. Monitor regulatory compliance related to Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and state licensing requirements to uphold the highest standards of safety and quality. Provide leadership in nurse management activities including onboarding, supervising nursing staff with supervising experience, performance evaluations, and ongoing training in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and nursing administration. Requirements Proven experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes with a strong understanding of resident's care plans, and documentation review processes. Experience in nursing management or nurse management roles with supervisory skills and team development. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and acute care practices essential for comprehensive resident assessment and support. Familiarity with EMR systems and EHR systems used for medical records management and documentation review. Strong leadership skills with supervising experience in healthcare settings; ability to manage shift schedules effectively. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of all medical records and documentation. Ability to navigate State regulations and policies and procedures related to senior healthcare services.
