Dental Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator

We're looking for a Dental Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator who wants to be part of our team. About the role This is a hybrid clinical and front-office position. You'll assist the doctor during procedures, support the assisting team, and guide patients through their care — from the first phone call all the way through treatment completion. You won't be doing this solo — you'll work side by side with another dental assistant in the same role, sharing responsibilities and covering each other. It's a strong fit for someone who wants more than a routine dental job. You'll work alongside an experienced prosthodontist, dental assistants, lab technicians, and surgical partners, with real exposure to advanced implant procedures, full-arch treatment, digital workflows, and complex treatment planning. What you'll do Clinical support Prepare treatment rooms and keep the clinical environment clean, organized, and efficient Assist the doctor during procedures Sterilize instruments, trays, and operatories, and uphold infection-control protocols Take dental X-rays if certified — or be willing to become certified Provide coverage for planned and unplanned assistant absences Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and practice safety protocols Patient care coordination Greet patients warmly and help them feel at ease Assist with paperwork, documentation, and insurance and financial information Answer calls, check messages and email, and respond promptly Make confirmation calls for upcoming appointments Collect payments and post them to patient accounts Present treatment plans and help patients understand their next steps Keep the reception area and waiting room clean and welcoming Help coordinate communication between patients, the doctor, the lab, and surgical partners Who we're looking for Someone who is reliable and self-motivated, friendly and patient-centered, organized and detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling tasks. A strong communicator in person, by phone, and by email. A real team player who's eager to learn advanced dental workflows and grow with a specialty practice. Dental experience helps, but attitude, reliability, communication, and a willingness to learn matter just as much.
