Job Description
The Surgical/Oncology Unit Manager provides leadership and oversight for patient care delivery, staff management, and unit operations. This role ensures high-quality, patient-centered care through effective coordination of patient flow, staffing, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The Manager is responsible for workforce planning, staff development and evaluations, quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and performance monitoring through data collection and analysis. Working closely with healthcare professionals, physicians, and community partners, the Manager promotes clinical excellence, staff education, patient and family satisfaction, and continuous improvement across the Surgical/Oncology units.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Experience in supervision/management preferred. At least two years of experience in acute direct patient care required. Experience in quality improvement activities preferred.
EDUCATION
Graduate of accredited RN nursing program required. BSN preferred. Certification preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY
Active Montana License as a Registered Nurse required. Active and current BLS certification required.
