To be discussed during interview Job Summary The Retail Manager leads all retail dining operations with a focus on fresh, high‑quality food, safe practices, and exceptional guest service. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced healthcare environment, enjoys building and developing teams, and takes pride in delivering a welcoming and efficient retail experience for patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do Oversee and manage day‑to‑day retail operations, including cafés, coffee service, and grab‑and‑go offerings, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors, leads, cashiers, and baristas, including scheduling, training, and performance management. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment at all times. Monitor inventory levels, ordering, and vendor relationships to maintain appropriate stock while controlling costs and minimizing waste. Oversee cash handling procedures, POS systems, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards. Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and service standards across all retail areas. Collaborate with culinary and clinical teams to align retail offerings with guest needs, dietary considerations, and hospital initiatives. Conduct regular rounds of retail spaces to engage with guests, resolve issues, and promote a positive dining experience. Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of retail team members to build a strong, service‑focused culture. Monitor labor and operational budgets, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and performance. Assist in planning and executing special promotions, events, and seasonal offerings to enhance the retail experience. Maintain accurate records related to inventory, staffing, and operational performance. Perform other duties as assigned. What You Will Bring High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality, food service, or related field preferred. 3+ years of food service, retail dining, or hospitality experience, including 1-2 years in leadership. Knowledge of retail operations, including cash handling, inventory, and POS systems. Familiar with food safety standards; ServSafe® preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills Guest-service focused with the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver. Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Basic computer skills and familiarity with reporting tools. Ability to pass background check and drug screen. Physical and Sensory Requirements In this role, you will spend most of your time in offices, patient care areas, and meetings, but periodic kitchen visits are part of your oversight responsibilities. Therefore, this job involves occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise.
