Position Summary:
Six OR's in this service line The Director of Surgical Services is responsible for the direction of the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. This includes developing and implementing goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical objective of the organization. Directing and evaluating departmental operations including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Planning and monitoring staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. Preparing, monitoring, and evaluating departmental budgets, and ensuring that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinating and directing internal/external audits.   • 6 ORs Additional Information/Department information: The RN utilizes nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care of pediatric patients from admission to department through discharge or transfer.
Provides expert care and education to patients in clinical setting, acts as patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
Required qualifications:
Current state RN license or Compact license or ability to transfer Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire PALS and ACLS within six (6) months of hire Five (5) years' experience as a Surgical Services RN and as a leader at the Manager or Director level What we offer Fundamental to providing great care is supporting and rewarding our team.
