Job Description

Company Overview Life's Good Stay Here is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Founded in 2022, we strive to create an inclusive environment that promotes autonomy, housing stability, and self-awareness for our participants. Summary We are seeking a Qualified Professional to join our team at Life's Good Stay Here. In this role, you will provide essential support and services to individuals with IDD, helping them achieve greater independence and personal growth. Your contributions will play a vital part in fostering a nurturing environment where every individual can thrive.
Responsibilities Person-Centered Planning:
Participating in the development, implementation, and ongoing revision of individual treatment plans (Person-Centered Plans).
Assessment and Intervention:
Conducting assessments to identify client needs, providing direct therapeutic interventions, and supporting clients in achieving their recovery goals.
Service Coordination:
Working with community resources, other professionals, and families to ensure clients receive comprehensive, coordinated care.
Documentation:
Maintaining accurate and timely records of services provided, including progress notes and treatment plans.
Support and Crisis Intervention:
Providing direct support to clients, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
Compliance:
Ensuring adherence to agency policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Training and Supervision:
Providing training and supervision to staff, including personal care assistants (PCAs), in some roles.
Collaboration:
Working effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists, case managers, and other professionals.
Advocacy:
Advocating for client rights and needs, ensuring access to necessary resources and support. Requirements An individual who holds a license, provisional license, certificate, registration or permit issued by the governing board regulating a human service profession, except a registered nurse who is licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing who also has four years of full-time accumulated experience in mh/dd/sa with the population served; A graduate of a college or university with a Masters degree in a human service field and has one year of full-time, pre
  • or post-graduate degree accumulated supervised mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has one year of full-time, pre
  • or post-graduate degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling; A graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a human service field and has two years of full-time, pre
  • or post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has two years of full-time, pre
  • or post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling; or A graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a field other than human services and has four years of full-time, pre
  • or post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has four years of full-time, pre
  • or post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
