The Dental Studio in Wilmington, NC is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and team-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our front office team. This position is ideal for someone friendly, dependable, organized, and passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience. We're looking for someone with at least 1- 2 years of dental office experience. Familiarity with Curve Hero is preferred. Role:
As the Patient Care Coordinator, you'll be the first point of contact for our patients and play a vital role in maintaining a smooth and welcoming office experience. You'll manage front office operations and work closely with our team to support daily clinical flow.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Communication & Customer Service:
Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage inquiries Schedule and Confirm appointments Ensure patient forms and records are completed and current Clearly explain dental benefits, treatment plans, and financial policies Address patient concerns professionally and escalate when appropriate
Insurance & Records Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Verify insurance eligibility and properly allocate benefits Submit and track insurance pre-authorizations Collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances at the time of service
Office Support & Team Collaboration:
Coordinate with our clinical team to manage the daily schedule Help maintain a clean and organized front desk and reception area Manage emails, phone messages, and incoming mail Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive office culture Assist with end-of-day reporting and reconciliation
Requirements:
Dental office experience Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent written and verbal communication Friendly, dependable, and professional demeanor
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Curve Hero software 2+ years of dental front desk or receptionist experience
