Job Description
Where You'll Work CHI Health St. Francis was established in Grand Island, Neb. in 1887. Today, our hospital is a regional referral center, with more than 100 physicians and more than 1,100 team members working together to build a healthier community. Our goal is to provide patients with high-quality medical care close to home, where they can be supported by their family, friends, and community. Job Summary and Responsibilities As our OR Nursing Manager, you will be a dynamic leader, guiding and empowering our nursing team to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care through continuous growth and operational excellence.
Every day, you will lead and mentor Registered Nurses, oversee clinical operations, and advocate for patient and team needs, driving professional development and achieving unit goals.
To be successful in this role, you will embody accountability and confidence with superior communication skills for all interactions. You'll skillfully navigate challenges, ensuring individual performance and overall unit success. Has the authority to interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train and conduct performance evaluations. Oversees the functional and technical job performance of team members. Allocates and directs staffing needs to meet patient, unit and Hospital needs, and collaborates with others to ensure overall staffing needs are met.

Manages performance including:
goal-setting, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback, recognize, developing skills and addressing performance issues related to work and our Commitments using corrective action. Monitors and oversee Customer and patient engagement, growth, quality initiatives and patient safety for multiple departments, utilizing regulatory and organizational knowledge and policy for multiple areas as separate functions. Coordinates and manages operating systems, operational standardization, service standards and communication methods in line with system policies and processes.Job Requirements Required:
Bachelors Nursing Degree and minimum of 3 years leadership experience Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the disciplineRegistered Nurse:
NE Basic Life Support -CPR Preferred:
