We provide evidence based, culturally and spiritually responsive care through inpatient, recovery, and substance use treatment programs focused on long term wellness and recovery. Position Overview The Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard is seeking a Director of Recovery Services to oversee behavioral health recovery programs and substance use disorder treatment services within the Department of Behavioral Medicine. This senior leadership role is responsible for supervising program directors and recovery leadership staff while ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, program development, and high quality patient care across multiple behavioral health and addiction recovery programs. This opportunity is ideal for experienced Clinical Supervisors, Program Managers, Behavioral Health Managers, Substance Use Leaders, Recovery Program Directors, or Behavioral Health Administrators seeking to advance into a director level leadership role within a mission driven healthcare organization. The Director of Recovery Services will collaborate closely with executive leadership, clinical teams, and regulatory agencies to strengthen recovery treatment services, improve patient outcomes, support staff development, and ensure safe, effective, and compliant behavioral healthcare delivery. Important All new hires must be able to attend a mandatory 5 day orientation Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM before starting their schedule. Attendance is required for employment. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership and Oversight
Provide strategic leadership and oversight of behavioral health recovery and substance use disorder programs
Supervise, mentor, and support program directors and recovery leadership staff
Ensure high quality service delivery and patient centered care across treatment programs
Establish program goals, operational priorities, and performance expectations Program Development and Operations
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures consistent with state and regulatory requirements
Support program expansion, operational improvements, and service development initiatives
Coordinate multidisciplinary program activities to improve service integration and patient outcomes
Monitor program effectiveness and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with licensing standards, accreditation requirements, and behavioral health regulations
Coordinate audits, surveys, and regulatory reviews as required
Maintain compliance with documentation, reporting, and operational standards
Review program outcomes and operational data to support quality improvement efforts Leadership and Workforce Development
Direct hiring, performance management, and leadership development of program management staff
Support orientation, training, and continuing education initiatives for recovery services employees
Collaborate with Human Resources regarding staffing needs and organizational development
Foster a collaborative, professional, and recovery focused culture Financial and Administrative Responsibilities
Participate in budget planning and financial oversight with department leadership
Support reporting, operational analysis, and program performance tracking
Maintain communication with executive and clinical leadership regarding operational needs and program performance Qualifications
Master's degree in Behavioral Health, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related human services field required
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible behavioral health experience required
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory, management, or program leadership experience required
Experience supervising counselors, clinical staff, or recovery treatment teams strongly preferred
Experience in substance use disorder treatment, addiction recovery, or behavioral health programs strongly preferred
Certification in Addiction Counseling (CAC) or similar credential highly preferred
Professional licensure preferred but not required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
Strong leadership, operational, and program management abilities
Knowledge of behavioral health treatment models and addiction recovery services
Understanding of regulatory compliance and behavioral health operations
Strong communication, organizational, and strategic planning skills
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and support program growth initiatives Work Environment This is a fully onsite leadership role within a behavioral health recovery treatment environment.
